Steps

  1. Coat the conductive glass with titanium dioxide and bake it following the kit directions.
  2. Soak slides in different dyes, like blackberry, hibiscus, and raspberry.
  3. Assemble each cell with electrolyte and a graphite-coated counter electrode.
  4. Measure open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current in sunlight.
  5. Sweep a variable load to build an I-V curve and calculate efficiency.
  6. Compare dyes and document the cells for your portfolio.
