Steps

  1. Wire the AD8232 ECG module, LCD, and SD card module to the Arduino.
  2. Place the electrodes and view the raw ECG signal on the serial plotter.
  3. Add filtering to clean up noise from movement and power lines.
  4. Program heart rate detection by finding the R-peaks in the signal.
  5. Compare your heart rate readings to a fitness tracker or manual pulse count.
  6. Document your signal plots and accuracy results for your portfolio.
