Steps

  1. Mount the MLX90614 sensor on the stepper motor so it can scan across an area.
  2. Program the Arduino to scan a grid of points and record temperatures.
  3. Send the data to Processing to build a color heatmap.
  4. Scan a hand before and after warming it and compare the patterns.
  5. Discuss what thermal patterns can and can't show in medical settings.
  6. Document your heatmaps and findings for your portfolio.

What to photograph for your portfolio

  • Real-time thermal heatmap
  • temperature distribution contours
  • medical case studies
  • analysis report
