Steps

  1. Build a sloped catchment surface that drains into a detention basin.
  2. Use the spray nozzle pump to simulate rainfall at a steady rate.
  3. Place flow sensors at the basin inlet and outlet.
  4. Log inflow and outflow during simulated storms.
  5. Compare peak outflow to peak inflow and check against a runoff calculation.
  6. Chart the hydrographs and document the model for your portfolio.
