Steps

  1. Design a multi-stage filter with sand, activated carbon, and a settling step.
  2. Build the filter stages in clear containers connected with tubing.
  3. Mix a test greywater with a measured amount of soap and fine dirt.
  4. Pump water through and log turbidity before and after each stage, plus flow rate.
  5. Calculate removal at each stage and find which stage does the most work.
  6. Document the system and results for your portfolio.
