What you'll need

  • 12V DC centrifugal blower fan
  • DHT22 AM2302 temperature humidity sensor module 3 pack
  • MG996R metal gear servo motor for damper control
  • Arduino Mega 2560 R3 microcontroller board
  • flexible ducting hose 4 inch
  • anemometer wind speed sensor for Arduino 0-5V output

Steps

  1. Build a scaled duct system feeding 2 or 3 zones from the blower fan.
  2. Add a servo-driven damper and temperature sensor in each zone.
  3. Measure airflow at each zone outlet with the anemometer.
  4. Test how different damper positions change airflow and zone temperatures.
  5. Find the damper settings that balance the zones.
  6. Chart the results and document the system for your portfolio.

What to photograph for your portfolio

  • Ducted demo build
  • zone temperature logs
  • damper vs airflow tests
  • balancing analysis
